Augmented Reality Training is Realized

Resolve Fire and Hazard is now the proud owner of an ART Unit (Augmented Reality Trainer), based at Resolve Marine Group's Long Beach CA response center. This ECO friendly unit is a perfect match for the environmental consciousness that the Resolve Marine Group has made the center of it's, "To Leave the World a Better Place", mission statement. Capable of producing a realistic in mask representation of events generated by the computer and overlaid on real structures and props, this tool can be used to produce realistic and pertinent scenarios. Some of the many features that this unit can provide are: Room and Contents Fires with Flashover, Thermal Imaging, Hazmat scenarios that include Gases, Dry and Liquid Spills all of which can be changed according to the responders actions, Gas metering abilities, Flange Fires, and Combinations of these scenarios. In addition to these functions, Training and Operations officers can monitor the actions of the firefighters on a four channel flat screen display that shows: reality, the view the firefighter sees, an overview of both firefighter and generated scenarios, and finally real time readings of adjunct equipment such as the hand held thermal imager and the gas metering devices. All of these events can be recorded for critique and use at a later time. As a result of the marine features incorporated in its design it has already been hired out by the U.S. Navy for training at one of its submarine facilities. It is also becoming very popular because of its Hazmat capabilities which allow use of a class A suit, repetitive scenarios and multiple products wet, dry, or gaseous.
